Therapy for Couples, Individuals, and Families

Helping people restore connection and hope in their most important relationships

You aren’t sure how life got to this point. It feels like starting another day is going to take energy that you just don’t have.  You don’t feel like yourself anymore, but you don’t know how to connect with “who you used to be.”

Is this disconnect impacting your most important relationships, such as your relationship with your spouse, your children, family members, and friends?  Even your relationship with yourself?

You may find yourself pulling away from others in exhaustion or frustration, but also fearing others are pulling away from you.  Perhaps you have faith and hope for the future, but lately even your faith has felt distant from you.

Hello, I’m Kelsey

I am here to tell you that it doesn’t have to feel this way. Things can be better. This life is too short to let your most important relationships slip away, to allow bad experiences of the past to control the present, and for anxiety to hold your thoughts captive.  I would be honored to support you as you step toward your goals of reconnecting in those relationships, re-establishing a life you feel good about, and feeling a sense of faith, hope, and purpose again.  The decision to begin the process of therapy is a courageous step.

I am currently offering appointments in person at my office in Augusta, GA, as well as online appointments for residents in the state of Georgia.

My Approach

As a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist, I recognize that we were designed for relationships. Connection to others is an essential component of a life well-lived. With my background and training in Emotionally-Focused Therapy and Attachment Theory, I work with couples (including pre-marital couples) and families to restore trust, connection, emotional intimacy, and healthy communication. I am also a Certified Prepare/Enrich Facilitator for couples.

In my 15 years as a therapist, I have developed particular expertise in the treatment of eating disorders and body image issues. I know how these concerns can negatively impact your relationship with yourself and others, and can work with you to help you view yourself, your body, and your relationship with food in a more positive way.

As a trauma-informed clinician, I recognize that traumatic past experiences can continue to negatively influence how we operate in life and relationships. I am trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), an evidence-based treatment for trauma. I use this approach with my clients to help them become “unstuck” from patterns created by past traumatic experiences so that they can re-engage in their life and relationships more effectively in the present.

You don’t have to navigate these challenges alone.

Together, we can find ways to restore your most important relationships.
